MThunter398. I just worked up a great shooting load for my 7mm-08 with some 150-grain GMXs. They are going 2790 fps, which gets me to 2100 fps and 1500 ftlb at 400 yards. I am hoping to use this load for deer and elk this fall to replace the 162-grain eldx. I had been using the eldx for two years and I am not impressed with their performance.Posts: 6,460. It put the first 5 shots I took with it at 100 at just a smidge under an inch with that load. Not bad at all.

Also another great bullet in the 7-08 is the 120ttsx with varget or CFE-223, I used CFE 223 in a 20" finnlight at 3200 FPS which really layer deer out.
