I split my 1 dose because I was getting ill after stopping for a few months because low stock. I have never been ill before. I did taper up not just go back to full 1. This week I took first dose Monday and 2nd Tuesday. I don't feel like I do when I take full dose. Even when I took .5 I didn't have food noise. This week the noise is beyond insane. And she's also fine with me deciding when I want to up my dose from .5, so having the higher dose pen gives me the flexibility to do that.If you are on .25 then I would think metformen would be the way to go. Then I would talk to your dr about going down to .5 or even .25, maybe even a .25 every like 3.5 days if you don't mind jabbing yourself that much.
