To make the conversion you will need a carb, intake, distributor, ignition module, ballast, external voltage regulator, fuel pressure regulator/or mechanical fuel pump, throttle cable, TV cable, and plenty of electrical tape. Like sls001 said check out the post and think real hard on it. Personally if your system works keep it.

tbplus10. If your set on swapping to a carb go with a 4 bbl, it'll give you performance advantages and usually better mpg than a 2 bbl if you stay out of the throttle. Yes if you swap you'll need to change out the manifold they arent compatable. Personally I'd stick with the Holley TBI, that set-up is usually pretty good and trouble free.

May 1, 2016 · Replace the TBI with a carb and try it before ditching the electronics. Leave everything plugged in the harness to satisfy the computer. Mount a TPS to the carb, a fuel pressure regulator and give it a try. Not much different from installing a propane mixer on a TBI engine and they run fine.
