Can any one give me some suggestions/help on what to get, what to look for, and how to start. I will be building up a older 70 ish 350 block. as for motor mounts, make your life easy. go to the local parts store and get some 35 dollar 67-9 camaro small block upper mounts, and install them on the engine. then take some 2x2 square tube, and drill a hole through it for the motor mount bolt. cut them about 2 1/2 inches long, overall.I have never done this particular engine swap myself, so cannot say on S-10 steering column clearance beyond what I have been told as to these manifolds being popular with those doing V-8 to S-10 swaps. The '82 - '92 Camaro log type manifolds are the same as the Malibu manifolds ProPower engines mentioned as far as I am aware.The S-10 gas tank is mounted to the frame behind the cab, perfect for a filler neck to come up through the wood in the bed. This eliminates the gas tank in the cab problem. To do the swap it requires some good old American ingenuity, but not tons of car knowledge. It is discouraging for the truck to be in many pieces.This S10 has a Vortec head 350 CID SBC V8 and Turbo 350 automatic transmission for a drivetrain.
