With gear boosting Vitality/Chaos damage, you can facestomp anything until at least mid-game. Doesn't hurt that both of your attacks are AoE to clear groups before they can even reach you. That combo can reach mid-game without a single health potion used. Vitality shaman, pet shaman, and physical shaman are all also really strong. Those are just the versions i have played. There are also bleed shamans and many many combos that use shaman as the support half instead of the damage half. That also doesnt touch on shaman builds where the damage is converted with gear instead of inside the shaman tree.
