That's correct,and you may need to pull the cam gear to see it.It's the nickel and tin content in the block.

Based on the suffix TJA I found it is one of two motors. 1973, 160hp conversion cab truck, or 1979, 165hp forward cab w/ AT. Based on the 3998991 heads (1972/1973) I would think it is the 160HP model. So Pretty much LOW compression motor.The 3970010 block casting number was used from 1969-1979.... But the "AAB" code narrows it down to the 1976 model C-60 (big truck chassis) like a grain truck, heating oil delivery truck, Fire tanker truck, etc. So block is a 1976.
