Sunlight spear does some amazing damage. Biggest hit i've seen so far I think was in the 1300's, and it's really not that much slower than GLS. It's not as damage efficient as GLS or LS, especially considering the two attunement slots, but once you have 6+ attunement slots you don't really need to be efficient for anything. #4.+5 lightning dragon chime and 50 faith still gets you a good 600-800 damage with the spear line. I personally have never gotten sunlight spear. Thats about in-line with hexes, sorcery and pyro. Dark orb gets more uses but it only does ~500 with a dark sunset staff + 5.
