So I'm on my 2nd year using meg-mo blades on the 2305, so I flipped the dock over today to see why this year, my middle blade (62C deck) was not cutting very well, unless I go less than 3mph, whereas last year I could go way faster. We have two huge maple trees that give us lots of shade. The grass in the front yard is really thick because of the shady conditions, stays wet longer too.So the Meg-Mo side looks a lot more uneven. Grass that tall starts to grow in clumps so it's never going to look like a lawn when it's cut short. I'm pretty sure the striping is caused by the swing blades retracting somewhat as the deck clogs with clippings. Installed meg-mo blades on one of my 62" SFS Toros with 27 hp kohler. Installation; This required cutting a 2 1/2" slot in the 3 saddles on the spindles. I did this with a 4 1/2" side grinder with the spindles still on the mower. and it took a couple of hours of work, with a rest period thrown in here.Better, but still not right. It appears that with this deck, and the way it is baffled underneath, the airflow of the Meg-Mo system from the left blade hits the airflow of the center blade about dead center and is causing some sort of turbulence that makes the grass bend down away from the cutting edges at that point..
