There’s a level 8 magus feat called Spell Swipe that allows you to use it on two foes in melee. The big benefits of Imaginary Weapon amped is that it scales absolutely ridiculously. 1d8 for a 1st level cantrip, and when amped every spell level increase it gains increases the damage by 2d8 instead of just 1d8.

Magus needs to be a 50/50 blend, which is impossible to do right now in PF2, so I think it will fill a nice niche. I suspect it will be the first class to get partial caster progression baseline, which will be like a dedication caster progression but slightly better. It might get improved core spells but with martial flavor.

The Slinger's Reload at level 10 will help your action economy immensely, as will feats like Running Reload and Risky Reload.
